Eminent Agri-Industries Ltd. was started as a project by the project titled ‘Eminent Dairy and Food Processing’ to build and develop a backward and forward linkage for homestead dairy and agricultural products of the rural farmers organized by the Humanitarian Agency for Development Services [HADS] during 1997, as a initiative of its Founder and Executive Director Mr. Humayun Reza. At that time in the market cow milk was not doing well, milk valued less then a bottled mineral water in that area. So the main focus then was to help the poor to sell milk of their cows at a reasonable price, which they bought with funding of the NGO. It was 1st in Bangladesh that producing Mozzarella cheese. Later on 2004 to expend the business and increase sell of mozzarella and to avail funding he establish a limited company named Eminent Agri-Industries Ltd. which was then an initiative, registered under the Joint Stock Companies Act ’94 to generate income and extend its support under agreement to the grassroots development activities of HADS.
